The leafy central yards, mature trees and intriguing outdoor spaces at the centre of Collingwood Yards have long been a hidden gem.
Despite having long been hidden, these central open spaces were once integral to the place’s identity. Once known locally as “the tech yards” or just “the yards”, in reopening as Collingwood Yards we are embracing our open spaces in both our physical design and our new identity.
While outdoor works are still being completed, when fully complete Collingwood Yards will welcome the public with new direct entrances to our central courtyards from both Johnston and Perry Streets. We are busy putting the finishing touches on unique, welcoming and accessible outdoor spaces that will be home to community events, concerts, markets, festivals and other activities for generations to come.
As well as a place of creativity, Collingwood Yards also offers a green oasis in one of the most densely populated areas of inner Melbourne. We look forward to welcoming the public into a new heart of relaxation, events and activities for our creative community, the Collingwood community and beyond.
