Filming and photography

Using Collingwood Yards as a location

You’re welcome to take photos in and around the courtyard and public realm for your own use.

The courtyard, escarpement, corridors and walkways also make excellent locations for commercial or creative shoots. Using Collingwood Yards as a location for commercial purposes will need to be arranged and approved prior to the shoot.

Collingwood Yards is a not-for-profit cultural precinct, and location fees are one of the ways we are able to ensure the sustainability of our community.

It may not appear so but our whole precinct is technically private property and as such a location agreement is required for any film and photography on site.

If you’re unsure whether your shoot would be considered commercial, please contact enquiries@collingwoodyards.org. We understand that not all shoots are high impact or high budget, and we can quote the fee accordingly.

Please be aware that filming or photographing tenant spaces, even ones visible from the public realm, will also require consent from those tenants.

Commercial filming and photography on site is likely to require a Location Agreement. If you’re ready to request a Location Agreement, please fill out the following form.
