Through exhibitions, education, collaborations, and publishing, the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) places Australian photography and lens-based creative practices in conversation with significant cutting-edge and international practices, expanding the context and opportunities for the Australian creative community.

The CCP supports artists by providing exhibition opportunities, educational experiences, major commissions and opportunities for early, mid-career and senior artists to develop their practices, to tell stories, and to explore the visual image.

Established in 1986 by the photographic community as a not-for-profit exhibition, community and resource centre, CCP has played a pivotal role in the support of photo-based arts and public engagement with photography for nearly 40 years.
