Cargo Crew to host Panino! – a one-night-only event with Michelin Star Chef Curtis Stone – at Collingwood sandwich hotspot Stefanino Panino, offering Australian-Italian cuisine as you’ve never seen before.
Friday, 7pm, 2 February 2024, Australia’s leading modern uniform brand Cargo Crew will present an evening of culinary adventure with its Global Chefwear Ambassador and leading Australian chef, Curtis Stone, and Stef Condello of cult Melbourne panini deli Stefanino Panino. Together, Curtis and Stef will create the ultimate evening panini.
Over one evening only at Stefanino Panino in Collingwood Yards, Curtis and Stef will be slinging the dinner sandwich, along with espresso martinis, to the general public. The menu will combine Curtis’s unique lens on Australian cooking with Stef’s Italian heritage. Each panino is designed to pay homage to Australian ingredients while honouring Italian flavours and cooking techniques.
Punters can expect three panini, all served on Stefanino Panino’s much-loved sourdough ciabatta.

In anticipation of the collaboration with the globally-renowned chef, Curtis Stone, Stefanino Panino’s founder, Stef Condello says, “I’m super excited to work closely with someone of Curtis’ calibre and expertise – especially in our newly opened space at Collingwood Yards. Curtis really helped to dial into the Australian-Italian idea – which is something I’m super proud of. It’s also been great forming a relationship with Flic and everyone at Cargo Crew – great brand and super reliable products – we love the Banjo apron at the shop!”
Curtis explains he cannot wait to get his hands on some Australian ingredients while he is back in town from his busy schedule in LA.
“Every time I come back to Australia, I’m always hankering to get my hands on the best marron or a great piece of kangaroo and, of course, all the beautiful fresh fruit and veg that’s in season. Exploring new ways to celebrate incredible ingredients is always a big highlight of every visit home,” says Stone.
“One of the best parts of my relationship with Cargo Crew is that they work with an incredible network of emerging aussie chefs like Stef, who are keen to experiment with fun new ideas, too. We’ve had a blast brainstorming together and testing these recipes out, and we’re really excited for Melbourne to try them.”
Cargo Crew’s Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Felicity Rodgers, says that Curtis and Stef are examples of Australian creative ambition that the brand exists to support.
“Curtis and Stef aren’t afraid to test limits, experiment and – most importantly – put their passion first. We’re really excited to bring these two powerhouses together for one night only in Collingwood, to celebrate good food, good company and exceptional creativity,” says Rodgers.
